On March 20, 2010, our NGO had the chance to be a guest in the Liebfrauenkirche in Frankfurt – big thanks to everyone involved!

As in the past years, the "Martin Luther King Gospel Choir" from the Atterberry Multicultural Christian Church with Pastor Dorothy Wilson supported us and sang gospels with various soloists.

Further support came from the "Integrativer Gebärdenchor Liebfrauen", a sign language choir from the Liebfrauen parish. The idea was to offer a special concert, on the one hand, and to draw attention to the German sign language and its speakers and singers, respectively, on the other hand. Our thanks go to the choir leaders Stefan Richter and Sina Paluch for engaging in realizing our plans.

Finally, the four members of the band "Nungo" joined us – they gladly agreed to contribute two songs to a multi-faceted programme.

Introduced by a prayer of Pastor Dorothy Wilson, the event began with a short presentation of our work with words and photographs. After the well-known "Oh Happy Day" sung my Melissa and the MLK Choir, Sina Paluch introduced the sign language choir who signed three serene songs. This performance provided a wonderful opportunity to watch the poetry and grace of this language.

After two more gospels sung by the MLK Choir, Nungo presented one of their songs they write themselves – a beautiful contrast since the four of them played unplugged with acoustic instruments and sang polyphonously which was received very well by the audience.

After the break, all formations performed again. The audience sang, clapped their hands, danced and signed along, and then everybody sang and signed "Love is the Message" together – the song which symbolizes the attitude of all of us. Pastor Wilson closed the concert with a sung Hallelujah and a touching closing prayer.
